Corey Burke’s First Day in Court
A quick follow up on what was reported in “PTK Power Lesbian or Post-Election Psychosis? The Curious Case of Corey Burke”
This is a follow up to a news story written on by this author. You can find the previous writing surrounding this story here.
On November 21st, Corey Burke made her first appearance in King County Superior Court, pleading not guilty to killing her father, Timothy Burke, in a meltdown on Election night. She reportedly appeared calm according to Daily Mail.

Also there, pictured laughing and smiling with what appeared to be her friends, was Corey’s wife Samantha Leigh Allen. Pretty weird to be in a state of seemingly joy when your wife is facing charges of brutally murdering her own father. It’s surprising, even considering the fact that Allen has continued publishing articles for Them in the aftermath of Corey’s crime. Sure, everyone has to work, even during tragic times in their personal lives. But appearing joyful in the company of friends in the courtroom while your wife has to stand trial is just bizarre.
That’s the kind of behavior displayed by a maniacal mad scientist when seeing the end results of one of their guinea pigs being used for some sick experiment. Something maybe even an agent of some sort would do in the company of other agents, when seeing what the end of the road looks like for one of the subjects they’ve handled.

While in the courtroom, Allen would use a notebook to hide her face from photographers, as if she didn’t want to be seen. Allen and Burke didn’t even seem to acknowledge each other at any point, which again is odd behavior from both of them. While the two were divided by glass, you’d expect some sort of human connection to be displayed between the two. In a lot of other cases like this you hear about those being tried in the court looking towards those they are close to in the audience for support. It’s just human.

Another thing that has been revealed is that it’s not certain if Allen even lived with Burke in the home Burke had owned for 5 years when she killed her father. Neighbors who spoke to Daily Mail reported never seeing her there. If that’s true, what could be the logical reasoning for that? Even if Allen has a busy work life that takes her all over the country and perhaps even outside of it, it doesn’t make sense that she’d never visit much less stay at the home her wife owned and lived full time at.
This further begs the question: Who is “Ben Dijkstra”? This is the person that Corey Burke claimed she had been dating when first taken into custody, despite not seeing him for 4 years. It’s not clear if anyone else in Burke’s life knows who this guy is or has even heard of him. Have the neighbors perhaps seen this “Ben Dijkstra” character at Corey’s home before?
As for Burke herself, it’s curious to think about what her defense may be. Pleading insanity seems to be out the window, since Corey’s illustrious work life matched with her modern American dream-esque personal life would probably be used against her in those regards. What could come out in the courtroom could end up telling a bigger story than what happened on Election night at Corey’s home, but could probably explain why it happened. Of course, too, the court could stonewall Corey to the point of their preferred story, the one that the prosecution is tasked with delivering, being the story that reigns supreme.
Not many news outlets or news stories are being written about Corey’s first day in court, and it seems that past the night of her crime that all the major media news outlets want nothing to do with going further into this story. No need to fret on that note, though. The Societal Scope will follow this story, and follow any lead they can in order to provide you with the full painted picture of this all.
